Our VIP client is seeking an experienced live in-Houseman/Butler (M/F) who will oversee the day-to-day operations of their residences in Geneva, Switzerland and Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The candidate will be hands on, responsible for all the details of the home.
The position requires a high energy individual with an excellent work ethic and a sense of pride in work well done.
This is a permanent full-time position starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Menu planning.
  • Responsible for creating weekly menus ahead.
  • Shopping for ingredients.
  • Preparing & cooking meals for the principal.
  • Cleaning the kitchen.
  • Ordering shopping and supplies.
  • Maintaining an inventory of the kitchen supplies and restocking the kitchen cupboards and fridge/freezer as necessary.
  • Maintenance and cleaning of all the rooms.
  • Perform thorough cleaning of all rooms and common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organisation of living spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and recreational areas.
  • Handle laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and storing clothing and linens.
  • Small maintenance jobs around the property.
  • To assist by running various errands as and when needed.
  • Prepare for arrival of visitors and various needs when staying.
  • Assistance with luggage, packing and unpacking for journeys.
  • Supervise and schedule staff to ensure all duties are fulfilled to a high standard.
  • Good cooking skills and experience.
  • Organised / clean and discrete around the house.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Serious and trustworthy person.
  • Household management  – Oversee the daily operations of the household, including cleaning, maintenance, and security.
  • Speak English at a good level.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Flexibility in schedule, including availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel on short notice.
  • Comfortable with live-in arrangements, with the option of provided accommodation.
  • Pet-friendly attitude and willingness to care for household pet.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-profile household or luxury setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of household technology and mechanical systems.
  • Energetic problem solving with the ability to take the initiative.
  • Effective time management with strong execution and completion strategies.
  • Polished, professional, and respectful; a quiet presence in the household.
  • Highly discreet in preserving the confidentiality and privacy of the family.
  • Valid Passport for travel with the Principal when required –  required for travelling to Abu Dhabi.

Work conditions

  • Monday to Friday with flexibility.
  • Accommodation and bills provided.
  • Salary €60000 – 66000 Depending on experience.
