Our client is seeking a Full-Time Live-in Domestic/Caretaker Couple for a position in Woodside, California, USA.
The couple will be responsible for maintaining both the indoor and outdoor areas of the property, ensuring the smooth operation of the household on a daily basis.
The family resides in the house throughout the year.
This is a permanent full-time position for a couple starting in May 2023.
Responsibilities and Duties:
– Manage and maintain the general upkeep of the house and property
– Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain the high standards of a 6 double-bedroom estate, including large living rooms, a spacious kitchen, guest house, and amenities
– Keep the house tidy by cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, vacuuming, and maintaining all decorative items
– Prepare healthy, varied, and visually appealing meals
– Assist the family with tasks such as making reservations and appointments
– Take care of housekeeping, laundry, and ironing (with the assistance of a part-time housekeeper/cleaner)
– Run errands and do grocery shopping upon request
– Manage food stocks and household supplies
– Engage in gardening activities such as planting, pruning, and maintaining cleanliness in outdoor spaces and terraces (part-time gardeners are available)
– Undertake handyman duties including minor repairs, renovation works, painting, and possessing technical knowledge of domestic equipment
– Possess technical expertise to manage all property systems
– Ensure property surveillance and gate security
– Monitor air conditioning, household equipment, fridges, hobs, and BBQ
– Oversee subcontractors working on the property
– Maintain the pool, including chemical treatment if necessary, fixing the pump, and managing the heating system
– Fulfill chauffeur duties by providing airport pick-up and drop-off services, as well as driving the family within the area
– Clean, service, and maintain the family’s car
– Take care of the cats living on-site
– Demonstrate vigilance to ensure overall site safety
– Prepare the house thoroughly before the arrival of guests
– Collaborate with the property owner in planning, organizing, and executing events, parties, and functions both on and off the properties
– Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion concerning the property owner, family members, and guests
Requirements:
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position with excellent references
– Pleasant, polite, and punctual demeanor
– Discreet, flexible, highly reliable, and trustworthy individuals
– Excellent housekeeping skills
– Proficiency in handyman tasks and technical skills
– Problem-solving abilities
– Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects concurrently
– Self-sufficiency with a strong sense of service and responsibility
– Meticulous individuals who take pride in their work and the satisfaction of their employer
– Good communication skills in English
– Possession of a valid B driving license and personal vehicle
– Willingness to travel as necessary to manage and oversee additional properties and handle ad hoc issues
– Coordinate schedules, events, and special requests with the property owner and family members

Salary for the Domestic/Caretaker Couple:
– Salary Range: $160,000 – $180,000 per year for the couple
