Job Description

A private household in Marbella is seeking an experienced, discreet, and highly professional Female Butler / Lady’s Maid for an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension or transition into a permanent role based on performance.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and service-driven professional who excels in personal assistance, wardrobe management, and high-level household support. The successful candidate will act as a trusted point of support to the Principal, ensuring daily life runs smoothly, efficiently, and to exacting standards.

Responsibilities

Personal & Wardrobe Management

  • Take full responsibility for the organisation and care of the Principal’s wardrobe, storage areas, and personal belongings
  • Maintain the Principal’s private rooms to an impeccable standard at all times
  • Remain constantly attentive to the Principal’s needs, offering assistance proactively

Laundry & Garment Care (Core Responsibility)

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of all garments, fabrics, and accessories
  • Ensure clothing is washed, pressed, stored, and returned correctly and efficiently
  • Confidently handle and iron delicate and high-value items
  • Coordinate dry cleaning services and ensure timely collection and return
  • Manage and monitor valuables, locked items, accessories, keys, and personal effects with precision and discretion

Packing & Travel Assistance

  • Pack and unpack delicate clothing and personal items with care and method
  • Prepare luggage and ensure safe transportation of belongings during travel

Personal Care Support (as required)

  • Assist with medication reminders and tracking when necessary

Food & Table Service

  • Organise meals and prepare the table according to the Principal’s preferences
  • Assist with meal preparation and presentation to a high standard
  • Ensure strict adherence to hygiene and food safety practices

Household Coordination

  • Support overall household organisation and standards
  • Work closely with other members of household staff, maintaining clear and professional communication

Errands, Shopping & Financial Handling

  • Manage bags, purchases, and personal items when accompanying the Principal
  • Pay bills or settle expenses discreetly when required
  • Maintain receipts and manage petty cash accurately

Job Requirements

Flexibility, Initiative & Accompaniment

  • Demonstrate a proactive, solution-oriented mindset at all times
  • Research services, make calls, and source items as needed
  • Accompany the Principal to events, appointments, shopping trips, and engagements
  • Be available and adaptable, with the Principal’s needs as the top priority

Working Conditions

  • Contract duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)
  • Trial period: 1 month
  • Working hours: 10–12 hours per day
  • Days off: 1 day per week
  • Accommodation: Live-in role with private bedroom and en-suite bathroom
  • Uniform: Provided during working hours

Salary

€4,500 per month
