A private household in the prestigious 16th arrondissement of Paris is seeking a talented and reliable Freelance Cook to provide high-quality daily meals for a family of two adults and three children. The role includes preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, handling grocery shopping, and ensuring the kitchen is always kept spotless and well-organized.
Working closely with the household staff, the Cook will be expected to design balanced, family-friendly menus, incorporating Mediterranean and Provençal inspirations, while adapting to the family’s preferences. Occasionally, the Cook may be asked to assist with informal or formal table service during family gatherings or receptions.
The position is best suited to a discreet, professional, and service-oriented individual who takes pride in delivering healthy, varied meals in a warm, family setting.
Prepare fresh, seasonal meals daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
Propose menus in consultation with the family.
Ensure the kitchen, appliances, and equipment remain clean and sanitary.
Shop for groceries and manage orders from suppliers.
Maintain food inventories and track stock rotation.
Provide expense reports for purchases.
Support occasional service during meals or receptions.
3–5 years of proven experience as a Cook in a private household.
Formal culinary training (diploma required).
Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety (HACCP certification preferred).
Ability to prepare simple, healthy, and varied menus with attention to detail.
Discreet, trustworthy, and reliable.
Flexible, proactive, and able to collaborate with household staff.
Fluent in French.
Holder of a category B driving licence.
Location: Paris 16th arrondissement.
Contract Type: Freelance (independent).
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (30 hours per week).
Start Date: As soon as possible.
