We are currently recruiting a skilled and reliable Caretaker / Factotum for a prestigious private mansion located in Paris 7th arrondissement. The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation, maintenance, and security of the property and its surrounding facilities.

This is a full-time permanent position offering staff accommodation within a renovated private apartment on-site. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically capable, and experienced in maintaining high-end private residences or similar environments.

Responsibilities

Property Maintenance & Upkeep

Maintain all shared and external areas of the property, including entrance halls, corridors, staircases, and courtyards
Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and functionality of all communal spaces
Carry out regular upkeep of terraces, including sweeping, cleaning, and pressure washing
Oversee small garden maintenance such as mowing, watering, leaf collection, and general care
Maintain outdoor furniture and ensure it remains in excellent condition

Technical Monitoring & Building Systems

Monitor and follow up on building systems including home automation, heating, and air conditioning
Perform basic technical troubleshooting and coordinate repairs when required
Ensure proper functioning of security systems and alarm equipment
Conduct routine checks to guarantee operational reliability of the property

Contractor & Service Coordination

Welcome and supervise external contractors on-site
Oversee technical interventions and ensure work is completed to standard
Act as the main point of contact during maintenance operations
Ensure safety and discretion during third-party access to the property

Household Support & Logistics

Receive and manage deliveries and parcels
Maintain stock levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies
Track and report household-related expenses to the employer or management office
Support overall operational organisation of the estate

Security & Surveillance

Monitor the property to ensure ongoing safety and security
Conduct regular inspections of the premises
Report any anomalies or issues promptly to the employer or management team

Additional Duties

Maintain indoor swimming pool and spa facilities
Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and presentable (interior and exterior care)

Job Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar private estate or high-end residential environment
Strong technical knowledge (home systems, alarms, HVAC basics, electrical awareness)
Autonomous, dependable, and highly resourceful
Strong service mindset with attention to detail
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work independently with a proactive approach
Comfortable handling multiple responsibilities across a large property
Fluent in French
Valid driving licence required
Absolute discretion and confidentiality required

Working Conditions

Position: Caretaker / Factotum
Location: Paris (75007)
Contract: Permanent (CDI), full-time 40 hours/week
Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 08:00–12:00 / 13:30–17:30
- Friday: 08:00–12:00 / 13:30–16:30
- Saturday morning (every other week)
Accommodation: On-site renovated 40m² apartment provided
Start: Immediate

Salary

From €3,500 gross/month (depending on experience and profile)
