Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Caregiver / Registered Nurse (RN) for a 90-year-old gentleman in Monaco. The ideal candidate will provide holistic, person-centered care, respecting the individual’s dignity, autonomy, and quality of life.

This role is designed for a professional who values trust, attentive listening, and the importance of safety. The position requires keen medical observation and awareness, working closely with the existing care team and healthcare professionals to monitor the principal’s health and well-being.

This is a full-time, permanent position (39 hours per week), available immediately. Temporary accommodation may be provided if necessary.

Responsibilities

Assist with essential daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, meals, mobility, and overall comfort.
Accompany the principal to social activities, outings, and medical appointments.
Support the principal’s independence and encourage continued living at home.
Monitor and observe key health indicators: appetite, sleep patterns, mobility, pain levels, and behavioral changes.
Provide accurate written and verbal reports to the healthcare team and/or family members.
Contribute to risk prevention and safety monitoring.
Perform safe hygiene care following appropriate techniques.
Ensure proper handling and mobility assistance to guarantee the principal’s comfort and safety.
Maintain the care environment, including managing medical equipment like the medical bed, wheelchair, and assistive devices.
Provide nursing-specific support: identify early signs of risk or emergency situations and alert healthcare professionals.
Offer emotional and psychological support: listen actively and offer moral support, respecting confidentiality, dignity, and the principal’s personal routine.

Job Requirements

10+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
State-certified Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
Ideally experienced in private nursing or independent nursing roles.
Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, patience, and emotional intelligence.
High level of rigor in observation and reporting.
A naturally caring and compassionate demeanor.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team.
Willingness to accompany the principal on travel when needed.
Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Working Conditions

Contract: Permanent (CDI)
Schedule: 39 hours per week
Probation Period: 3 months, renewable

Salary

Monthly gross salary €5,200 – €7,000, based on experience and qualifications
