Log inAn esteemed private household located in Broadmoor, Seattle, is seeking a highly polished and discreet Butler to oversee daily operations and ensure the seamless management of the residence. The successful candidate will embody the highest standards of service, professionalism, and confidentiality while supporting a distinguished family within a refined household environment.
This full-time position requires an individual who is attentive, proactive, and dedicated to excellence, with a solid background in private service or luxury hospitality. Formal butler school training and extensive experience in high-end households are highly preferred.
Household & Service Management
Deliver impeccable table service, including formal dining, silver service, and wine presentation.
Coordinate daily household activities, ensuring smooth communication between principals and staff.
Supervise and support the housekeeping and service teams to maintain top-tier efficiency.
Ensure all living areas, dining rooms, and outdoor spaces remain guest-ready at all times.
Guest Relations & Events
Welcome and attend to guests with warmth, discretion, and professionalism.
Manage small-scale events and private dinners, ensuring flawless execution from setup to service.
Assist with table settings, beverage preparation, and coordination of catering or vendors when required.
Organization & Inventory Oversight
Maintain detailed household manuals, supply inventories, and tableware records.
Monitor stock levels for linens, glassware, and service equipment, ensuring readiness at all times.
Liaise with external suppliers and service providers to maintain smooth household logistics.
Travel & Lifestyle Support
Occasionally accompany the family during domestic travel or oversee seasonal residences.
Manage packing, luggage, and on-the-ground arrangements when needed.
Assist with light pet-related duties, including scheduling groomers or dog walkers.
Professional Conduct & Discretion
Report daily to the House Manager and ensure all household matters are addressed efficiently.
Maintain the utmost discretion and confidentiality regarding the family’s personal and professional life.
Represent the household with integrity, reliability, and refined manners.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Butler or House Manager/Butler in private estates or luxury hospitality.
Proven knowledge of formal service standards, etiquette, and household management.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proactive “hands-on” approach.
Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
Impeccable references from previous private employers.
Valid driver’s license, confident in handling luxury vehicles.
Eligibility to work legally in the United States.
Contract Type: Full-time, permanent, live-out.
Location: Broadmoor, Seattle, Washington, USA.
Travel: Occasional, primarily within the U.S.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
