Childcare (Primary Focus)

When the children are at home, your role will focus on creating a structured and positive environment:

• Provide a warm, attentive, and reassuring presence
• Organise age-appropriate activities (games, reading, creative tasks, simple cooking)
• Support homework with a clear and encouraging approach
• Encourage independence, focus, and good routines
• Engage the children in conversations and activities that support their development
• Manage daily outings (school pick-ups, activities, park visits)
• Coordinate social moments (playdates, birthdays, Wednesday activities)
• Ensure the children’s safety, wellbeing, and emotional balance

You will be expected to maintain a calm, consistent, and structured approach, combining kindness with clear boundaries.

Housekeeping & Home Organisation (During School Hours)

While the children are at school, you will contribute to the daily organisation of the home:

• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised living space (with focus on children’s areas)
• Handle laundry and linen care
• Prepare simple, healthy, and seasonal meals for the family
• Anticipate household needs and ensure smooth daily operations
• Carry out small local errands (bakery, light shopping only)

A cleaner already comes twice a week, so your role focuses on daily upkeep and organisation, not deep cleaning.
