Job Description

A private family based at EŌME Residences in Dubai is seeking a mature, dependable and highly independent Housekeeper / Driver to take responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep of their residence.

The role combines high-standard housekeeping with driving, household errands and practical property support. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, take initiative and ensure that the residence is consistently clean, organised, secure and ready for the family’s arrival.

The household already has a full-time maid who has been with the family since 2022. The new Housekeeper / Driver will work alongside her and must be comfortable managing their own responsibilities while maintaining a respectful and cooperative relationship with the existing team. A friendly, harmonious working environment is particularly important to the family.

The family spends approximately two to three months per year in Dubai. During these periods, the role will become more active and involve supporting the family according to their schedule. When the family is travelling, the workload will be significantly lighter, with the candidate primarily responsible for maintaining the property and ensuring everything is in order.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Residence Care

Maintain the residence to a consistently high standard of cleanliness, order and presentation.
Carry out routine housekeeping throughout bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and other spaces.
Keep household items, cupboards, storage areas and supplies organised.
Prepare the residence thoroughly ahead of the family’s arrival.
Monitor the condition of the property and identify any issues requiring attention.
Ensure the home remains clean, secure and well maintained while the family is away.

Household Management & Coordination

Monitor household supplies and prepare replenishment lists as necessary.
Receive deliveries and ensure household items are correctly stored.
Coordinate access for technicians, maintenance teams and other service providers.
Communicate relevant updates to the family regarding maintenance, deliveries, supplies and other household matters.
Take initiative with routine household requirements rather than waiting for instructions.
Manage day-to-day responsibilities independently during periods when the family is not in Dubai.

Driving & Errands

Drive the family when required during their time in Dubai.
Carry out household-related errands, collections and deliveries.
Maintain the household vehicle in a clean and presentable condition.
Ensure the vehicle is appropriately maintained and report any servicing or maintenance requirements.

Household Teamwork

Work closely with the existing maid and coordinate responsibilities effectively.
Respect the experience and established role of the current household employee.
Provide support when required while maintaining clear ownership of individual duties.
Contribute to a positive, respectful and professional household environment.

Discretion & Security

Maintain complete confidentiality regarding the family’s personal affairs and lifestyle.
Exercise discretion at all times when dealing with visitors, suppliers and service providers.
Treat the residence, its contents and the family’s privacy with the highest level of respect.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an experienced private household professional who combines strong housekeeping skills with confidence behind the wheel.

The family is looking for someone who is:

Experienced as a Housekeeper, Private Housekeeper, Household Assistant or in a similar private-service role.
In possession of a valid UAE driving licence.
Experienced with professional or family driving, preferably.
Mature, trustworthy and highly responsible.
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Proactive and capable of identifying what needs to be done without being constantly directed.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Naturally clean, meticulous and committed to maintaining high standards.
Cooperative and respectful when working alongside established household staff.
A strong communicator with a friendly and professional manner.
Flexible and adaptable to changing family requirements.
Comfortable taking responsibility for the residence when the family is travelling.
Fully aware of the importance of discretion and confidentiality in a private household.
German-speaking is an advantage, but not essential.
Open to candidates of all nationalities.

Candidates already based in the UAE with a combination of private housekeeping and driving experience are particularly welcome.

Working Conditions

Position: Full-time, live-in
Location: EŌME Residences, Dubai
Schedule: 6 days per week, 1 day off
Working hours: Flexible and dependent on the family’s schedule
Family presence: Approximately 2–3 months per year in Dubai
Workload when family is away: Considerably lighter, focused on residence upkeep and household management
Start date: ASAP
