Job Description

A VVIP family based in Lahore, Pakistan, with ownership of multiple private properties, is seeking an experienced and capable Gardener to oversee and maintain the gardens of their main estate.

The household operates with a well-established team of 40–50 staff members, including a dedicated group of local gardeners and maintenance personnel (approximately 10+ on-site). The successful candidate will report directly to an experienced European House Manager and will take responsibility for both the hands-on maintenance of the gardens and the supervision of the local gardening team.

This role requires a professional who can deliver consistently high standards in landscaping and garden care while ensuring smooth team coordination and efficient daily operations.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead the on-site gardening and maintenance team.
Maintain and enhance all outdoor areas, including gardens, lawns, and landscaped features.
Manage irrigation systems to ensure effective and sustainable water usage.
Oversee seasonal gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, fertilization, and pest control.
Operate and maintain gardening equipment; additional tools and machinery will be provided as needed.
Plan and allocate daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow across the gardening team.
Ensure the estate’s outdoor spaces are always maintained to a high standard of presentation.
Liaise with household management and report regularly to the House Manager on ongoing projects and garden operations.
Carry out all duties with discretion, professionalism, and reliability.

Job Requirements

Proven experience as a professional gardener, ideally within private estates or large properties.
Strong knowledge of landscaping, plant care, lawn maintenance, and irrigation systems.
Experience managing or training a team of gardeners or grounds staff.
Highly organized, reliable, and proactive with a strong work ethic.
Professional attitude with a high level of discretion and loyalty.
Flexible and adaptable to changing estate requirements and schedules.

Candidates holding Asian or African passports will be given preference.

Working Conditions

Position: Gardener
Location: Lahore, Pakistan
Working hours: 8 to 10 hours per day, depending on operational needs
Schedule: 6 days per week with 1 day off
Accommodation: Private room with en-suite bathroom provided
Meals: Provided
Flights: Covered for initial relocation and annual leave
Visa & Medical Insurance: Provided

Salary

AED 8,000 to 12,000 net per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
