Job Description

A prestigious private household in Wicklow is seeking an experienced and polished Front of House Professional to join their household team on a seasonal basis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in luxury hospitality, private service, yachting, chalets, or a similarly high-end environment. Warm, confident, and naturally attentive, they will be responsible for creating a welcoming and professional experience for the principals and their guests.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in impeccable service, has excellent attention to detail, and is comfortable adapting to the changing needs of a busy private residence.

Responsibilities

Deliver a warm, polished, and professional welcome to the principals and their guests.
Provide high-quality table service for everyday dining and entertaining.
Prepare and serve drinks, cocktails, and other beverages to a professional standard.
Assist with hosting intimate dinners, social occasions, and private events.
Set and clear tables, ensuring dining areas are presented impeccably.
Prepare entertaining spaces before guests arrive and restore them afterwards.
Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of reception, living, and guest areas.
Carry out light housekeeping and daily tidying as required.
Assist with the smooth daily operation of the household.
Support event preparation, service, and post-event breakdown.
Undertake additional front-of-house and light household management tasks when required.
Anticipate the needs of the principals and guests and consistently deliver discreet, attentive service.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will be an experienced hospitality professional who understands the standards expected within a luxury private home. They should be naturally personable, composed under pressure, and confident interacting with high-profile principals and their guests.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in front-of-house, private service, or luxury hospitality.
Previous experience within a private household, luxury hotel, boutique property, yacht, chalet, or comparable environment.
Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of beverage and cocktail service.
Professional, polished, and exceptionally well-presented.
Discreet and trustworthy with a strong understanding of privacy and confidentiality.
Proactive, practical, and willing to assist wherever needed.
Flexible regarding working hours, particularly during periods of entertaining.
Fluent spoken English.
Full, clean driving licence.
Checkable professional references.

Working Conditions

Contract: Seasonal
Duration: November 2026 to May 2027
Schedule: 5 days on / 2 days off
Working Hours: Flexibility required, particularly for evening and weekend entertaining
Location: Wicklow, Ireland
Long-Term Potential: Possible continuation beyond the initial seasonal contract, depending on performance and the client’s requirements.

Salary

€45,000 – €55,000 gross per annum, depending on experience and suitability.
