Log inA private principal is seeking a highly versatile and energetic Private Chef / Butler to join the household at a newly completed luxury chalet in Verbier, Switzerland.
This is a unique hybrid position combining private cooking, guest service, hospitality and chalet oversight, with regular international travel. The principal spends approximately three to four months each year in Verbier and travels extensively, including extended stays in destinations such as Ibiza and the Caribbean.
The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable preparing sophisticated, healthy meals, serving guests at the table, managing provisions and stepping in to resolve practical issues around the property.
The environment is friendly, relaxed and informal, although the ability to provide polished formal service when required is essential.
Candidates with a luxury yacht background, particularly as a Sole Chef, Yacht Chef or Steward/ess with strong culinary skills, will be particularly well suited to the role.
The Role
The successful candidate will become a trusted and highly adaptable member of the household, taking responsibility for the culinary and hospitality experience while also helping ensure the smooth running of the chalet.

International travel forms an important part of the position.
The successful candidate will accompany the principal to destinations including Ibiza and the Caribbean, with travel periods potentially lasting several weeks during peak seasons.
Flexibility and the ability to maintain the same high standards while travelling are essential.
Chalet Management & Practical Support
During periods in Verbier, the Chef / Butler will also assist with the general running of the chalet.
Responsibilities will include:
External cleaning services and contractors will support the property, so this is not a traditional full-time housekeeping role.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced private-service professional who enjoys a varied role and is comfortable moving seamlessly between the kitchen, dining room, guest service and practical household matters.
