Job Description

A private UHNW household based in Dubai is seeking a highly experienced Private Nurse / Companion Caregiver to provide full-time, live-in support to an 84-year-old lady.

The Principal is largely independent but requires a calm, reassuring presence to monitor her wellbeing, support her through episodes of anxiety, and ensure a stable and comfortable daily environment.

This role combines clinical awareness and companion care, requiring someone who can balance attentive support with respect for independence. Discretion, emotional intelligence, and consistency are essential.

The position also includes international travel, ensuring continuity of care in different environments.

Responsibilities

Health & Wellbeing Monitoring

Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure
Observe any physical, cognitive, or emotional changes
Support medication routines when required
Report any concerns promptly to the family or medical professionals

Emotional Support & Stability

Provide reassurance during anxiety or panic episodes
Use calming techniques to manage stress or confusion
Maintain a structured, low-stress daily environment
Offer consistent companionship and emotional support

Companionship & Daily Presence

Engage in conversation and light activities
Ensure the Principal feels comfortable and supported throughout the day
Supervise discreetly while respecting independence
Adapt to the Principal’s personality and mood

Routine Support

Assist with daily routines when needed
Encourage independence while remaining available
Help maintain a consistent and balanced daily schedule

Travel Support

Accompany the Principal on international trips
Maintain routines and continuity of care while travelling
Monitor health and provide reassurance in new environments

Job Requirements

Essential

Qualified Nurse or experienced Caregiver with elderly care background
Proven experience with:
- Anxiety and panic disorders
- Dementia or memory-related conditions
- Psychiatric support (preferred)
Strong knowledge of vital signs monitoring

Experience

Minimum 3 years in a similar private or home-care setting
Experience in companion-style roles (low dependency patients preferred)
Previous live-in or travel roles is a strong advantage

Additional Requirements

EU passport (essential for travel)
Comfortable in a live-in position (6 days per week)
Flexible and able to travel internationally

Working Conditions

Location: Dubai, UAE
Start Date: Immediate
Schedule: 6 days per week, 1 day off
Accommodation: Private en-suite bedroom provided

Salary

AED 15,000 – 20,000 per month, depending on experience
