A private family based in the San Francisco Bay Area is looking to recruit an experienced, compassionate, and dependable In-Home Caregiver to provide exceptional one-to-one care within their private residence.

This is a rewarding long-term opportunity for a caring professional who is passionate about improving quality of life while supporting the client’s comfort, safety, and independence. Working within a private household, you will become a trusted presence, delivering personalised care with kindness, patience, and complete discretion.

The successful candidate will combine excellent caregiving skills with a calm, reassuring approach, ensuring the client receives the highest standard of daily support while maintaining dignity and respect at all times.

Responsibilities

Personal Care & Daily Support

Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, mobility, and transfers.
Promote independence while ensuring the client’s comfort and safety throughout the day.
Offer emotional support and meaningful companionship to encourage wellbeing and social engagement.

Health & Wellbeing

Observe and monitor the client’s overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly to family members or healthcare professionals.
Provide medication reminders and assist with non-medical healthcare tasks in accordance with professional guidance.
Follow personalised care plans carefully, ensuring all individual needs are met consistently.

Household Assistance

Prepare nutritious meals and refreshments according to dietary requirements.
Carry out light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organised, and safe living environment.
Drive the client safely to medical appointments, social activities, or personal engagements when required.

Communication & Documentation

Maintain accurate daily care records and document any significant observations.
Communicate regularly with the family regarding the client’s wellbeing, progress, and changing needs.
Respect the family’s privacy by maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience providing professional in-home care within a private household or similar setting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships.
Knowledge of elderly care, post-acute care, rehabilitation support, geriatrics, or related healthcare environments.
The ability to remain calm, organised, and responsive in changing or emergency situations.
A caring, patient, and compassionate nature with a genuine commitment to enhancing quality of life.
Outstanding discretion and respect for the privacy of the client and family.
A flexible approach to working day or overnight shifts.

Working Conditions

Position: Full-time
Start Date: Flexible
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, California
Accommodation: Live-in or Live-out
Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Weekly Hours: Approximately 36 to 48 hours
