A private family based in the prestigious 16th arrondissement of Paris is seeking an experienced and versatile Butler (M/F) to support the smooth running of their primary residence.

Working closely with the House Manager, you will oversee table service, assist with household organisation, prepare meals when required, and ensure the property is maintained to an exceptional standard. This is an excellent opportunity for a discreet hospitality professional who enjoys delivering impeccable service within a refined private home.

The role is offered on a permanent part-time basis, with a schedule of 32 hours per week from Thursday to Sunday, starting in September.

Responsibilities

As the family’s Butler, your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining the presentation, cleanliness and overall organisation of the residence.
Preparing elegant table settings for daily meals and special occasions.
Providing professional food and beverage service.
Creating floral arrangements and ensuring high standards of table presentation.
Preparing meals upon request.
Receiving suppliers and contractors whenever the House Manager is unavailable.
Purchasing groceries, household supplies and managing expense reporting.
Monitoring food inventories and household consumables.
Organising dry cleaning, pharmacy collections and other personal errands.
Supervising vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules and cleanliness.
Providing chauffeur services when requested.
Assisting with light household logistics, furniture moving and minor maintenance tasks.
Supporting the House Manager and following the employer’s instructions with professionalism and flexibility.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

At least 5 years of experience as a Butler or within a comparable private household position.
Excellent knowledge of formal table service and hospitality etiquette.
A genuine passion for cooking and food presentation.
A proactive, organised and hands-on approach.
Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality service.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Absolute discretion, integrity and respect for confidentiality.
Fluency in French.
A valid driving licence.

Salary

Monthly gross salary between €3,100 and €3,600, depending on qualifications and previous experience.
