Nanny/Head Housekeeper

Nanny/Head Housekeeper job (M/F) in Paris, France

Paris 16

Job Description

A private family living in the 16th arrondissement of Paris is looking for an experienced, caring and highly organised Nanny / Housekeeper to support their household and care for three children aged 6, 9 and 11.

The family operates on an alternating custody arrangement, making this an interesting and varied position that changes according to whether the children are in residence.

During the weeks with the children, the successful candidate will take an active role in their daily routines, school pick-ups, activities, homework, meals and evening routine, while also managing the children’s laundry and living areas.

During the weeks when the children are not at home, the focus will shift towards household organisation, cooking, food shopping and laundry, with a considerably lighter workload.

A professional cleaner is already employed by the family and is responsible for the general cleaning of the residence. The Nanny / Housekeeper will therefore focus primarily on childcare, household management and cooking, with occasional assistance with household tasks when the cleaner is not present.

The family is looking for someone seeking a stable, long-term position who can become a trusted and valued part of their household.

  • Keep the children’s bedrooms, playroom and personal areas organised.
  • Ensure school-related belongings and children’s essentials are ready for the following day.

Weeks Without the Children

When the children are with the other parent, the role becomes more focused on the household.

  • Plan and prepare meals for the parent.
  • Carry out grocery shopping and monitor food stocks.
  • Manage family laundry.
  • Keep household supplies organised and ensure essential items are replenished.
  • Maintain order within the home.

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Wednesday: Full day, approximately 9 hours
  • Evening babysitting: Approximately two additional evenings per month, 3 hours each

This represents approximately 70 hours per month during the two weeks when the children are in residence.

Weeks Without the Children – approximately 10 hours

A lighter schedule of approximately 10 hours per week, generally distributed between Monday and Friday, focused primarily on cooking, household organisation, shopping and laundry.

Total: approximately 90 hours per month.

The schedule remains flexible and may be adapted according to the family’s requirements.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an experienced childcare and household professional who enjoys working with children while also being confident managing practical aspects of family life.
