Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Hybrid Housekeeper/Nanny to join a fully staffed private household in New York City (Upper East Side). This role is designed to support both the existing housekeeper and nanny, ensuring smooth daily operations and a warm, well-maintained home environment.

Depending on the household’s needs and the candidate’s preference, the position may be live-in, live-out, or hybrid.

This is a long-term opportunity within a respectful, well-structured household that values teamwork, discretion, and consistency.

Responsibilities

Childcare Support

Assist the primary nanny with the children’s daily care.
Participate in age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and engagement.
Help maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.
Support established routines as needed throughout the day.

Housekeeping Support

Work alongside the primary housekeeper to maintain the home to a high standard.
Take primary responsibility for laundry management, including washing, ironing, steaming, folding, and organizing.
Maintain excellent attention to detail across all household tasks.
Provide general household support as required in a team-oriented setting.

Job Requirements

Genuine enjoyment of both childcare and housekeeping
Naturally organized with strong attention to detail
Comfortable managing high-volume laundry and garment care
Team-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently when needed
Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic private household
Willing and able to travel to the Hamptons during summer months
Professional, discreet, and trustworthy
Previous experience in a private household is strongly preferred

Working Conditions

Location: New York City (Upper East Side), with seasonal summer travel to the Hamptons
Schedule: Full-time, Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
(Flexibility required based on household needs and travel)
Accommodation: Live-in, live-out, or hybrid arrangements considered
Contract: Long-term role within a supportive and fully staffed household

Salary

$40+ /hourly, depends on experience – live-in or live-out, hybrid arrangements considered.
