Job Description

Our client is seeking a hands-on, reliable, and highly versatile Houseman (M/F) to oversee and maintain the exterior areas of three private residences located in the Luberon, near Lourmarin (Vaucluse – 34).

This position also involves periodic travel to a townhouse in Marseille and a chalet in La Plagne (Savoie – 73) to ensure their proper upkeep and supervision.

This is a full-time, permanent role (CDI) with the possibility of on-site accommodation. The ideal candidate will be autonomous, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of care across all properties.

Responsibilities

Exterior Maintenance & Groundskeeping

Ensure impeccable upkeep of gardens: mowing, pruning, weeding, hoeing, planting, and watering.
Care for swimming pools and the pool house.
Maintain the technical room and ensure equipment is properly functioning.
Oversee the maintenance and storage of tools and garden machinery.
Look after plants, outdoor terraces, and garden furniture.
Identify and report any technical or maintenance issues promptly.

General Repairs & On-Site Support

Carry out minor repairs including painting, varnishing, and small electrical or plumbing jobs.
Provide driving support for the employer when needed.
Receive and manage parcels, materials, and deliveries.
Welcome, coordinate, and supervise external service providers (craftsmen, workers, contractors).
Monitor the different sites and provide regular updates to the employer.

Job Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in a similar position within a private or professional environment.
Highly versatile, organised, autonomous, and practical.
Strong gardening skills and solid DIY/handyman abilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a service-oriented attitude.
Flexibility and mobility are essential due to occasional travel.
Discreet, reliable, and respectful of confidentiality.
Fluency in French is required.
Valid driver’s licence mandatory.
